Our Story

I came to astrology through clinical work — not curiosity.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Portland State University and went on to become a licensed social worker because I saw, firsthand, how often people internalize blame for struggles that are deeply rooted in systemic injustice, conditioning, and trauma. I didn’t believe people were broken — I believed they were responding to systems that were never designed to support them.

I spent years running my own private practice, working with clients who were thoughtful, self-aware, and deeply invested in their healing. Many of them had insight, language, and self-understanding — yet still felt stuck in familiar emotional and relational patterns. Traditional therapeutic tools were helpful, but they didn’t always create movement.

Astrology entered my work during this time as a complementary framework — not to replace therapy, but to deepen it. I’ve studied astrology for over five years, and I approach it through a trauma-informed, psychological, and ethical lens. Used responsibly, astrology offered my clients something they hadn’t yet found: a clear map of their internal wiring, conditioning, and innate ways of moving through the world — without pathologizing or bypassing their lived experience.

Over time, my work evolved from student to practitioner to teacher. I’ve had the opportunity to teach and support the development of my own mentor, a role that reflected both my depth of study and my commitment to integrity within this work. Astrology, when taught and applied thoughtfully, accelerates self-recognition and supports meaningful change — often more quickly than insight alone.

Today, I work alongside my husband to build The Lunar Child as a shared mission and body of work. Together, we’re committed to helping people deprogram from inherited narratives and systems of indoctrination, reconnect with their inner authority, and live with greater clarity and responsibility. We believe that when individuals truly understand themselves, healing becomes possible — not just personally, but collectively.

The Lunar Child exists for people who have outgrown the lives they were taught to live and are ready to understand themselves beyond shame, self-blame, or external rules. Whether you’re here to learn astrology, deepen self-trust, or integrate what you already know into lived change, this work is about guiding you back to yourself — with discernment, agency, and care.
